My father has probably been the biggest contributor in fuelling and bringing out my hidden passion. Being in a transferrable job, he enabled me to spend my life in all the corners of the country, meeting people belonging to different cultures, varying backgrounds, and being up close with the diversities that India has to offer. It slowly but surely moulded the traveller inside me and ignited the desire to further explore the beauty that the world has to offer.

My idea of travel is to strike a balance between the ‘touristy’ and the ‘unexplored’. I won’t say I only go ‘off the beaten track’, as I strongly believe that in order to have a complete picture of the world, we need to experience it in it’s both avatars. Witnessing the spectacles of a New York, Paris or London is equally important as unravelling the mysteries of the still unknown Easter Islands in the South Pacific. Similarly back home, marvelling at the beauty of the Taj is surely a must do, but witnessing the sea of ‘Neelakurinji’ flowers that bloom once in twelve years on the hill ranges of Munnar in Kerela is an unmatched experience in itself.

The main idea of starting “Travel with Rohit” is to give my readers a sneek peek into my world of travel. Through TWR, I wish to share my varied travelling experiences, both in India and abroad. The idea is to provide the readers an insight about various travel destinations and make their journeys more meaningful.
